"Sweet Dancing Angels" #newsong #lorijeanfinnila #singersongwriter #alternativelifestyle #podcast

I did Gabby Bernstein's Spiritual Guides Meditation again this week to write a song. I was able to catch a glimpse of some sweet angels.

Lyrics

Verse

Perhaps dancing is sweet

In its highest

I dance with you

You’re not afraid

Or are you

Where are you

Chorus

You dance in and out

Thru the corners

You slip around me

My sweet dancing angels

Verse

I see a wall

A wall of fright

Yet you’re not afraid of me now

Why?

I know you’re here

you just want to tell me something

I can’t hear you

but I can read you

just let me know what it is

Chorus

You dance in and out

Thru the corners

You slip around me

My sweet dancing angels

Verse

What is it you want me to do

You dance thru the air, swirl, fly

It almost seems in my presence

So sweetness whole

Bridge

I’m not getting your message

Though I feel you need me for something

I want to know what it is

You leave me wondering

Chorus

You dance in and out

Thru the corners

You slip around me

My sweet dancing angels

Sweet dancing angels

repeat

Song Lyrics:

Verse

Begin now thru sound, memories, music

life, smiles, eyes, lips

skin glowing

They’re so brave

They’re so brave they are

I want to reach them

in the woods

hiding from wrongs

They’re so brave they are

to stand up against what’s wrong

I support them with my angels

around me

Chorus

I know I don’t know if

my time is enough for them

but I’ve learned time

is all everything is

Verse

Beauty is only so far away

happiness and magic is near you

I open my eyes

darkness can be beautiful

I open my mind

and walk to it

This never changes

no matter how many sicknesses

deaths, new things, new surroundings

everything is still the same

Chorus

Verse

The most important is when

the angels tell me

to reach out to you

I cry when I think I can’t

I don’t have the strength

I don’t know how

but I know this is my purpose

why I’ve been left here

maybe since so long ago

I thought I was taken

by a princess to stay alive

but I keep getting lost in this

Chorus

"The Veil of Light" #newsong #recording #lorijeanfinnila #singersongwriter #alternativelifestyle #podcast

I was inspired to this after listening to a meditation from life coach Gabby Bernstein connecting with our angel guides. Let's hope this song reaches others where needed. The song will be in a pending release in the fall once Love the Right Way is approved for July 18, 2023 with Amuse.io. I have to wait a bit after that for a free release to be uploaded.

Lyrics:

Verse

I now write for your love

Your safety

I can’t be any closer to you

Than what’s in my mind

Chorus

I want to veil you

Hold you

Protect you

The beauty you bring to the world

Is so much more

than I can compare to

Verse

I keep telling myself

As I lift the veil to see the world

To see the sky

Before I run to someone stronger

Chorus

Verse

I’m lost for words

I feel the light

I can see its presence

Through the corner of my eyes

Bridge

I feel disturbances, forcefulness, rudeness, disrespect

Hiding in the veil of the light

Hold me in

Hold me safe

I’m once again

Hiding in the veil of the light

Chorus

Updated lyrics to the song:

"Like a Road Map"

Verse

My marks bother me

My arms on my elbows

Lost their muscle - all I see is bone

My eyes puff and have dark marks

One hangs where

I was beat up I was thrown

Into the cupboard corner

Doctor sewed me up

with his eyes looking down

Chorus

Please don’t mind me

From my brain injury

It’s really not that bad

Not compared to

what’s on my body

like a road map

Verse

I have lumps

That look like humps

On one inside of my leg

The other one has an indent

They’re all from abuse

My brain doesn’t function as well

From a crack on my skull

It wasn’t enough to look at

I only felt it with my hand mostly

After I woke up with a cracked eye

On the same side

The pharmacist looked at me to blame

Shamefully shaking his head

Chorus

Verse

I tried to send faxes to the governor

Of my black and blue arms

Now thinking as I write

When I can separate

the timing of the standstill

In our world

Never heard anything back

But thought to put it out, the word anyway

Maybe I can change it for the rest

Chorus

I’m still here

I can make change

As long as I can walk

And talk

For someone else

“Like a Road Map” #newsong #lorijeanfinnila #singersongwriter

I wish I could walk more today to bring more magic to this writing, but I think I have the idea down. Let’s see what I do with it for the June 16 podcast.

“Like a Road Map”

Verse

I have an ache in my eyes

Bothers me frequently

My marks bother me

My arms on my elbows

Lost their muscle - all I see is bone

My eyes puff and have dark marks

One hangs where I was beat up

The lid looks not as nice

As the one on the left

But it’s the one too anyway

From another abuse when I was thrown

Into the cupboard corner

Doctor sewed me up with his eyes looking down

Chorus

Please don’t mind me

From my brain injury

It’s really not that bad

Not compared to what’s on my body

like a road map

Verse

I have lumps

That look like humps

On one inside of my leg

The other one has an indent

They’re all from abuse

My brain doesn’t function as well

From a crack on my skull

It wasn’t enough to look at

I only felt it with my hand mostly

It doesn’t think as well

After I woke up with a cracked eye

On the same side

The pharmacist looked at me to blame

Shamefully shaking his head

Chorus

Verse

I tried to send faxes to the governor

Of my black and blue arms

Now thinking as I write

In our world

Never heard anything back

But thought to put it out, the word anyway

I can make change

As long as I can walk

And talk

For someone else
