The Goat's Bell Like in Heidi #dedicatedpoem #nextpoetrybook #lorijeanfinnila #womenauthor #literature #poetry

To my big sister or aunt, whom I don't know her name, we were never formally introduced, who spent such a short while with me showing me what love was.

The secret to magic and mystery

the goat's bell like in Heidi

I so remember as I so desperately held

for comfort through her story

as I was kept in my room so often

Flutes I love that I want to write to

precious sound that keeps my mind inspired

dancing with beautiful feelings

remembering all the gold I was taught to look for

that was also on my darling play tea cup set just for me

The look on your face that kept me going

I can't imagine the pain I suffered

that you did when I was the black sheep

or a mess when I needed school lunch or clothes

and remembering now from all that I learned what love is.

Oregon Bans Gun Ownership by Domestic-Violence Convicts https://www.courthousenews.com/oregon-bans-gun-ownership-by-domestic-violence-convicts/ A nurse recorded my abuser when he attacked me 28 years ago when I had my son. I believe he still has a gun. They need this nationwide.

More Shots For My Poetry Book #cameras #photos #books #lorijeanfinnila #womenauthors

I used the sepia filter with these. Not all my shots looked good with this filter. I'm keeping the cost down on my next poetry book, as I did the last. I used different black and white filters for my last book and where I appreciate the book I want to move more nostalgic this new one.

My camera isn't capturing pictures well enough clarity wise, though I like my compositions. Let's hope it's just a dark-light day in the park problem. I just thought I'd share a bit more of what I captured today. Any camera brand recommendations? Cannon Powershot seems to be letting me down. I get a great focus on a shot then lose it.

Remember Another Woman Dead in the Park #lorijeanfinnila #singersongwriter #deadwomaninthepark

I remembered another woman passing, maybe more, in vain.

Dead Woman in the Park: Unreasonable Expectations written by Lori Jean Finnila

You are lost now

not knowing what you see

so sure of your fear

before you die

As you lay here dying

no one hears you crying

you eventually die

eventually others who know your pain cry

In the beauty of nature

you find your last home

perhaps finally feeling the safest ever

perhaps it was a wanderer

perhaps it was your fear

that took you to your last day here

I will remember you

I know your journey

I know your path

I am a woman too

who couldn’t fit into

what was expected of us

We all know too much

we can’t fit into this triangle

of expectations that are unreasonably put upon us

that no one can expect to live through

but some do by chance

Perhaps some still leave earlier

Not in the same way

yet they’ve all known the pain

of the unreasonable expectation

Some die of the exhaustion

Some die of the cold

Some die of murder

Dying becoming too early old

Some die of mere sadness

of no pleasure that they can’t find within their heart

possibly of once known so great

that they can’t ever put their hands on again

But don’t worry now our angel

I do remember as we all know

your pain, your trouble, the unreasonable

expectations of becoming a woman.
