Just got my CD with Tim Cheatle approved to go up for sale at Amazon, “Lori Jean’s Roots.” I decided to have 3 of the songs mastered. Will get those done this month and get it up and finished. This is good news and exciting. All the other tracks are mastered and cover is ready to go. Won’t be long now.

 I wrote this after watching the movie ‘True Spirit’ on Netflix. I had been lost in a place I hadn’t been in before swinging in my yoga hammock. When I came back to the presence of my normal I realized I was very comfortably lost in the swinging in the dark with my eyes closed as a normal. I knew what to write after I saw Jesse’s story. I knew my body was pleasantly, comfortably accepting the new normal about to come and I embraced it. I wanted to share this but couldn’t figure out how to word it.  This song comes from me looking down at the waterfront where I live in Portland, OR. I don't go down to it, I just look down toward it. I can see the bikes and people. Hear the noises coinciding with it from afar. Yet I hold my breath and clutch my chest to the what the remembrance of that spot brings to me. I'm still working on this emotional feeling.
